Hoo Anglo Saxon Burial Ground. In 1939 excavations
brought to light the richest burial ever discovered in Britain;
an Anglo-Saxon ship containing the treasure of one of the
earliest English kings.
Woodbridge
Tide Mill is considered by many to be the
symbol of Woodbridge and the River Deben. It is thought to
be one of the earliest Tide Mills in the UK - a mill was first
recorded on this site in 1170.
Snape
Maltings is a collection of 19th Century
buildings 20 mins from Woodbridge on the River Alde. The site
now houses shops , galleries and the world famous concert
hall that hosts the annual Aldeburgh music festival.
